I live in Illinois and fell in love with the Encinitas and Carlsbad area and was lucky enough to contact Pete 4 1/2 years ago to find a house in the area. Needless to say, buying a house remotely can be a daunting experience but I felt confident sending Pete to scout new listings and FaceTime live walk throughs with me. As a military family we do not have the luxury of time when moving and Pete crushed it. We received 3 offers on our house and signed a purchase agreement at list price less than 5 days after signing our listing agreement! It never even made it to the MLS!

My wife and I worked with Pete for the purchase of our first home in Carlsbad after living in the Bay Area for 5 years.
We met with him in March and told him about our 6 month to 2-year timeline to buy a single-family home in North County. He was really understanding of our timeline and told us that we'd lead the way with any decisions (which was exactly what we were looking for).
We were still up in the Bay Area at the time, so Pete set up a collaborative tool for us to start aligning on what kinds of properties we were interested in. When we decided to get preapproved, Pete recommended some amazing loan agents to talk to (I called all of them, because why not?) and we decided to work with one of his contacts at Chase Bank who got us an amazing mortgage rate and was incredible to work with.
We became interested in a property in South Carlsbad in early May, and because of COVID, we asked Pete to visit the property for us and take some videos. He moved quickly and FaceTimed us the next morning, along with some great videos walking through the entire space. We were then pushed by the sellers to move quickly to put an offer on the property. Pete guided us through the offer letter process efficiently but thoroughly, making sure we felt good about our offer every step of the way (which was especially important, given the pandemic). Our offer was accepted by the seller after one multiple counter offer negotiation.
We went through the entire escrow process from afar and utilized Pete's network of high-quality contacts where we could to complete inspections and get work done on the house. We came into town the weekend of the general home inspection, but the rest of the inspections were coordinated by Pete and his team. We were in constant contact with updates on what ours, Pete's, and the seller's action items were during this time. Escrow is a stressful time but he really eased our worries with his expertise and care (by sometimes answering my texts at 9 PM because our roofer wasn't responding! ??).
In the end, we were able to purchase our dream home thanks to having Pete at the helm guiding us through the entire process. He was extremely organized and thoughtful in every step of the journey, and our communications were always warm and action-oriented. We feel very lucky to have worked with Pete, and highly recommend him to our friends and anyone reading this review.
